Data Spaces wurden als eine Abstraktion für die Datenverwaltung vorgeschlagen, die darauf abzielt, die Vorlaufkosten für die Einrichtung eines Datenintegrationssystems zu reduzieren, indem Schema-Mappings schrittweise durch Interaktion mit den Endbenutzern in einer Pay-as-you-go-Methode spezifiziert werden.
