ASE-Definition (engl.)
Product development comprises, as depicted in the iPeM - integrated product formation model, not only a variety of activities that merge the most different disciplines, but also the interfaces of the operating management, the knowledge management as well as the improvement processes. Within this framework, the developer must consider in his action a multitude of requirements and constraints that are often unexplicitly formulated in a target system.
