Die Konzipierung ist die frühe Phase im Produktentwicklungsprozess in Anlehnung an Pahl/Beitz. In der Konzipierung wird auf einem hohen Abstraktionsgrad ganzheitlich fachdisziplinübergreifend entwickelt. In einem iterativen Prozess werden die Elemente des Systems und ihre Beziehungen festgelegt (z.B. Wirkstruktur, grobe Baustruktur, Verhalten). Das Resultat ist das Produktkonzept bzw. die sog. Prinziplösung.

ASE-Definition (engl.)

Conceptualisation is the early phase in the product development process based on Pahl/Beitz. In conceptualisation, a holistic, interdisciplinary development is carried out at a high level of abstraction. In an iterative process, the elements of the system and their relationships are defined (e.g. effective structure, rough building structure, behaviour). The result is the product concept or the so-called principle solution.
