ASE-Definition (dt.)

​Das System (griechisch systema - wörtlich das Gebilde, Zusammengestellte, Verbundene) hat verschiedene Bedeutungen - die jedoch alle die “Zusammenstellung” aus mehreren Elementen, die untereinander in Wechselwirkung stehen, gemeinsam haben. Das System hat eine gänzlich andere Qualität als die Summe seiner Elemente. Diesen Effekt nennt man Emergenz.

​A system (systema in Greek - literally structure, the compiled, the connected) has different meanings - but they all have the “compilation” of multiple elements that interact among each other in common. A system has an entirely different quality from the sum of its elements. This effect is called emergence.
